Powder Coating

AFI Industrial Co., Ltd. offers customers a full range of powder coating solutions that provide a strong, beautiful protective coating for your products.

Powder Coating Process

Powder spraying is to spray powder coating on the surface of the product through electrostatic spraying equipment, and then bake the powder at high temperature to melt, level and cure, forming a uniform, smooth and durable coating.
It can improve the adhesion and corrosion resistance of the coating, but also provide a rich choice of colors and textures, widely used in automotive, home appliances, construction, furniture, machinery manufacturing and other fields.

Surface Preparation

Surface pretreatment is to remove impurities on the surface of the workpiece that may affect the adhesion of the coating, such as grease, stains, dust, etc. After pretreatment, the quality of the treatment shall be checked in strict accordance with the inspection standard and subsequent spraying shall be carried out within 24 hours to avoid re-contamination.

Electrostatic Coating

Electrostatic coating is the use of high voltage electrostatic principle, so that powder coating with charge after adsorption to the surface of the workpiece. The high voltage electrostatic generator at the front end of the spray gun generates a strong electric field, so that the powder particles are charged and uniformly adsorbed to the workpiece under the action of electrostatic force.

Solidify

The workpieces after powder coating are sent into the high-temperature curing furnace. In the furnace, the powder begins to melt slowly. As the temperature rises, it gradually solidifies and turns into a hard protective film. After the curing is completed, this film not only makes the surface of the workpiece smooth and flat, but also makes the product more wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and anti-aging, to meet the quality requirements of customers for the product.

Customized Powder Coating Service

AFI Industrial Co., Ltd. provides a variety of custom powder coating services, designed to give customers a unique product quality and charm. With rich spraying experience and advanced equipment, we can customize the most suitable spraying solution for customers from color selection to texture effect to special functional requirements such as thickness, etc., to ensure uniform coating, strong adhesion, bright and lasting color, and meet the various needs of customers.

About Powder Coating

The powder coating process, through three-stage degreasing pretreatment including alkali washing, acid washing and surface adjustment, optimizes the surface roughness of the substrate to Ra0.8μm and compresses the porosity to below 0.3%. We formed a 60μm polyester-TGIC coating using 40kV electrostatic adsorption technology. After thermal curing at 200℃, a cross-linking reaction occurred to construct a three-dimensional network protective structure. The glossiness of the product was increased to 95GU, and the salt spray corrosion resistance time was extended to 1000 hours.

Its impact resistance is 300% higher than that of traditional processes. After application, the outer shell of household appliances can achieve an anti-UV aging ability of 10 years, with a surface scratch resistance of over 200,000 times. While ensuring a mirror-like effect, the comprehensive production cost is reduced by 40% compared to the electroplating process, making it a core technology in modern industrial surface treatment.
